South Carolina Association of Recovery Residence sat down to tell us why they love One Step and how it’s made such a difference in their organization. Watch the video to see what Warren Phillips has to say!
What qualities did you look for in a software?
We were using another software program previously and it was clunky. It was not very user friendly. I think the biggest thing we were looking for was simplicity of use for our operators and also for us managing everything as the affiliate.
What drew you to One Step?
I think we had some familiarity with One Step as operators and former operators. A few of our operators in the state used One Step. So we were familiar with it. We knew that it was streamlined. It was simple to use and like I said our operators already had some familiarity with it.
So how’s the experience been so far?
It’s been great. It’s been a bit of work in progress for both of us. I think we’re the first state that’s used One Step as an affiliate software program. So I think it’s new. So it’s been a true partnership. We’ve worked together. I think we’ve worked together well to develop a software program that’s easy to use for operators and easy to manage for affiliates. So I think it’s been great.
How has One Step helped your operators?
I think just the old process of applying for certification and then renewing certification was clunky and challenging. So I think it’s an improvement form that. I think it’s helped operators from that point of view. Another thing that we were able to do was through grant, through DODIS or state agency, was able to provide all of our certified operators and residences access to One Step for free through a grant. Which is fantastic and I think that’s really helped operators improve their programs which has improved our state.
What are your favorite features in One Step?
Really simplicity and ease of use. I think that’s, you know, like I said there’s still work to be done but I think it’s much easier for us to use and for operators.
On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being most likely, how likely are you to recommend One Step to a colleague?
I would say 9 or 10. I think we still have some work to do. I think it’s already a quality software program. I think probably will be a 10 very soon. I may say 9 now. I would certainly say 10 for the client management software and everything else One Step does. I’ve had nothing but great experience on that side of things. But for this brand new program I think we’re getting close to 10.
Is there anything else you’d like to say about One Step?
They’ve been easy to work with. Great people. All the One Step folks have been fantastic so I look forward to our continued relationship and their continued improvement of the affiliate software program.
