Recovery Coaching Software

So you’ve gotten certified as a recovery coach. Congrats! Nicely done. MAD RESPECT. Time to get to work coaching people to improve their lives. It’s a very rewarding job, but it can also be stress inducing. In this post I’ll talk about two types of recovery coaching software you can use to make your life a little bit easier. Because that’s what technology’s for, right?

Soberlink

The first is Soberlink – This is a great tool for folks recovering from an alcohol addiction. It’s basically a breathalyzer connected to the cloud. Not the white fluffy things in the sky, I’m talking about your computer. So basically your clients have to pass a breathalyzer twice a day, and you get the results. It uses some half creepy half futuristic facial recognition software so they can’t cheat. It also sends text reminders to your clients at times you can set. Imagine that, getting a text from a piece of plastic. 2018 I guess

One Step Software

The second tool you need to make your life less hell-ish is One Step Software. Yea, this is the One Step blog, and I work at One Step, so I’m using the blog to advertise our own product. What did you expect? Anyway One Step is built for this very use case. With the software you can keep all of your clients info in one place, keep notes on them, create written assignments for them to do (hooray homework!), and even charge them for your services. ALSO (this is the best part), there’s an app for your clients to use. On the app they can check-in to meetings, receive notes and resources from you, manage their calendar, and they can set and track goals for themselves. It’s an amazing tool for people in recovery, like it’s probably the best app ever built. For real, no bias I SWEAR.

By using Soberlink and One Step, you can manage a long list of clients in recovery without trying to manage everything in a disgusting spreadsheet. So go forth and show the world how tech savvy you are!
