It is up to the states on whether they want to pass it, so it will be interesting to see which states are first to adopt it.
Below are some highlights of The Model Recovery Residence Certification Act for you, in preparation for the passage of the act in your state.
- There will be a certification process wherein your sober living will comply with the requirements of certification. This will involve you sharing your intake forms, procedures and other documents with the certifying body
- There will be data and outcomes requirements where you will be required to send certain metrics or outcomes data to the certifying body. It is unclear what data will be collected by the certifying body and how frequently they will be collecting it, but it seems that this may vary by state
One Step would love to help you prepare your business for these requirements. We offer an easy to use, digital solution that can help you automate all the filings and forms you will be responsible for sending over. In addition, one of our most used features, is the Outcomes Dashboard, which you can use to keep track of all your resident’s individual recovery progress, as well as program stats on your house and program overall. We calculate all the metrics for you with a click of the button and you are able to easily filter for the numbers you want/need.
