Data collection and evaluation is how people in industries around the world are able to provide better products and services. The more information a person is able to collect on those utilizing what they offer, the more likely they are to change their product or service for the better. This is why One Step not only provides data collection on your organization, but allows customization for surveys and forms. We are always open and looking for suggestions into the data we can provide our clients, which is why last week we sent out a survey of our own, asking what the most important outcome was to you. Our top results were as follows:

  1. Length of Stay

  2. Alumni & Current Client Meeting Check Ins

  3. Census of Clients over time

Many of the organizations that use One Step say that measuring how many of their clients are staying the full duration of the program is the best way they measure their success. It shows that their program is achievable and that they’re making a difference in those who pass through their doors. Meeting check ins are also a huge part of showing client progress, Alumni check in data especially. This factor shows that your program helped build accountability in your clients and their continued success. While thirdly, the Client Count or Client Census over time was said to be one of the most useful data collection tools in One Step. With this metric, you’ll get a look at how many clients you’ve had admitted since the beginning of your journey with us. You’re able to also narrow down your view to examine specific periods of time, possibly using the information to examine why your client count dipped or surged.

All of this is available in One Step, and more. We not only allow you to use existing and custom surveys, but work to passively collect data. This means the more you utilize the software, the more you’re getting information such as average length of stay, the average substance of choice, how many clients were employed upon discharge, and more.
