Managing payments for your sober living just keeps getting easier and easier with the One Step payment feature. If you read our October feature update email you know we added the ability to to collect ACH payments via an invoiced email to your clients or their payor. Here are 3 reasons why ACH payments are a great benefit to your Sober Living Program:
Number 1: Lower transaction fees
With the One Step payment feature you are able to charge a client’s credit card or now their ACH (bank account) directly from a client’s payment tab. Both are nice options to have, however the benefit of asking a client to share their ACH details, storing that information on file in your payment feature, and charging ACH for rent are the lower transaction fees.
If you charge a client’s ACH through your payment feature the transaction fee is only .10% per transaction!
Number 2: Convenience and speed
By using ACH to charge your clients you’ll save your staff and client a substantial amount of time.
First, your client can simply give you their ACH details, you can store them on file and charge them as necessary, or set your client up on a recurring payment plan which charges their ACH automatically. This avoids the situation of your client having to go grab cash or a money order, then return to your office to make the payment. This also avoids your staff from having to manage cash, store cash securely, or drive over to your own bank to make deposits.
With the new update to the payment feature, you can now send an invoice email to your client, and they can easily enter in their ACH details directly into the ACH invoice in their email to make a payment.
Now those are some super efficient ways to get the job done!
Number 3: No credit card or debit card required
We understand that clients in your sober home facilities or programs do not always have access to a credit card. When we meet with our community members we hear this come up as a reason why some facilities can’t leverage the credit card payment processing capabilities of the payment feature. With the enhanced payment feature’s ability to now collect ACH payments via an invoiced email, your clients can now take advantage of this capability as well by just having a bank account set up.
If you have clients with bank accounts, but no credit cards, no worries because you can now ask for ACH information in order to set up recurring payments, or send invoice emails to collect payments!
